Artist at Work
Largely self-taught, Tim's lifelong love of botany and wildlife has been expressed in meticulous paintings and drawings since an early age. Long country walks with his grandmother engendered a passion to commit to paper the wonders of the Hertfordshire countryside garnered during long, hot summer holidays.
Having gained a degree in horticulture, years of creative work, nurturing gardens both new and mature, allowed the perfect opportunity for observing the delicate wonders of the plant word through the seasons, and it is this intricate detail he now reproduces so beautifully in watercolour.
Tim has exhibited work at the last two Society of Botanical Artists Exhibitions in Westminster and was awarded a Certificate of Botanical Merit for his painting 'Daisy Meadow'. He was made a Fellow Member of the SBA in January 2019.
